THE FOUNDATION

Since 1977, the primary mission of the Pediatric Research Foundation has been to fund research into childhood diseasesto protect, promote and improve the health and well-being of children and adolescents. The Foundation offers them the most precious gift of all: the promise of a better, healthier future, thanks to research!

The Pediatric Research Foundation aims to become the driving force behind pediatric research, to increase the chances of cure and improve children's health.

Present at every stage of a child's life, from conception to adulthood, the Foundation's team works tirelessly to ensure that all children and adolescents have access to the latest advances in research. It wants everyone to be able to flourish, now and for the rest of their lives. The Foundation focuses on key areas of excellence in pediatric health and relevant scientific fields where the needs are greatest. To date, more than $75 million has been awarded to experienced and emerging researchers to support innovative and promising research projects. Medical breakthroughs in the fight against childhood diseases motivate us and fuel our hope that one day, all children will be able to grow up healthy!

ALPINE 2026: FOR MENTAL HEALTH

To participate, you must raise funds to support the mission of the Pediatric Research Foundation. This year, all funds raised will be used to finance research projects on mental health and neurodevelopment in children and adolescents:

GARCEAU SKI CHALLENGE : Mitigating polarization and reducing youth distress and violence: a pilot project to rethink preventive approaches in schools, Dr. Cécile Rousseau, Full Professor, Department of Psychiatry, McGill University, and Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in that department.

OWL'S HEAD CHALLENGE: Therapeutic use of rock climbing with school-aged youth, Pre Emmanuelle Jasmin, Sherbrooke University Hospital Center
